G.T.P. College of Education for Women was started in 1984 in Bhimavaram to facilitate professional training to women candidates. The college is named after the Chief Donar Sir. Pedatata and his beloved wife Tulasamma.
The college stands first in the University examinations among the other colleges of education in A.U. region securing 98 to 100% since the inception of the college. The college secured University First Rank for three times.
The college intake for B.Ed courses is 50. For M.Ed. Course is 50 and for D.Ed Course is 50.
Students are admitted to state wide counseling in the basis of the rank secured in the Ed. CET. 25% management quota is in provision to students.
The Bhimavaram Education Society has established an innovation tradition of awarding medals to the out going students who stand first in theory and practical examinations and subject wise medals and certificates are also awarded.
